Ukrainian Foreign Minister Dmytro Kuleba has criticized Germany for its long-standing policy towards Russia. “I regret to say this: in fact, you have contributed to building the current power of Russia,” – Kuleba said on ARD’s “Anne Will” program. “And we hope that you will also do enough to stop the Russian war machine.”
Germany and Ukraine are partner countries, Kuleba said. However, he said he was counting on three things from Germany:
- First, his country needs all the weapons necessary to defend itself.
- Second, Kuleba called for tougher punitive measures against Russia.
- Third, Ukraine should become a member of the European Union.
