The public prosecutor’s office in Oldenburg has filed charges against a former employee of a vaccination center in Schortens (district of Friesland), who is accused of filling syringes with saline solution instead of COVID-19 preparation. The public prosecutor’s office announced that the woman is accused of bodily harm.
According to the indictment, Antje T. is alleged to have taken saline solution alone into 15 syringes last April or to have diluted the vaccine with it in such a way that it was no longer effective, that is, it did not provide protection against COVID-19.
The Lower Saxony nurse was critical of pandemic control measures
According to the investigation, the syringes were then used by other employees at the vaccination center who were unaware of the defendant’s conduct. As a result, fifteen people were allegedly given saline instead of the coronavirus vaccine. According to the prosecution, the motive behind the woman’s alleged actions was that she was critical of the pandemic control measures.
The personal injury charge stems from the fact that the 15 people involved consented to the administration of the coronavirus vaccine. The victims, however, did not consent to the vaccination being administered using a substance that is ineffective. Further criminal proceedings will be decided by the Oldenburg District Court.
Dissemination of conspiracy theories
Antje T. stated that on April 21, while preparing the vaccine, she accidentally dropped the vial, which she wanted to cover up. At the same time, she conveyed through her lawyer that it was a one-time incident.
However, in the summer of 2021, the SPIEGEL newspaper revealed that the nurse had spread conspiracy theories via WhatsApp, such as information that vaccination was intended to decimate the German population.
Furthermore, the entity running the vaccination point, the German Red Cross (DRC), was allegedly warned by one of the employees but ignored the information on T.
Thousands of people were re-vaccinated after the incident last April as a precautionary measure, and may have received saline solution instead of the vaccine.
